Privacy Policy
RC PowerLab is a dynamometer and tuning app for radio-controlled cars, made by Bondit AB, Sweden. This policy explains what personal data the RC PowerLab apps (iOS, Android and web) and the RC PowerLab service process, why, and what your rights are. Bondit AB is the data controller.
What we collect
- Account data. When you sign in with Microsoft, Apple or Google we receive your name, email address and a stable account identifier from that provider. We never see your password.
- Data you create. Test runs and sessions (RPM, power, torque, gear shifts and other sensor readings), engines, vehicles, setups, tracks, notes and garage memberships.
- Location (optional). If you allow it, the app uses your device location to fetch local weather for tuning recommendations and to record GPS runs. Location is only used while you use the app.
- Bluetooth. The app uses Bluetooth only to connect to your RC PowerLab sensor. It does not track or store other nearby devices.
- Technical data. Error and performance logs (for example app version, device type and operating system version) that help us keep the service working.
Why we use it
- To provide the service: sign you in, store and sync your runs, and show analysis across your devices (performance of our agreement with you).
- To share data with garages or team members you choose (your instruction).
- To generate AI coaching suggestions from your run data when you use the coach feature.
- To keep the service secure and reliable, and to fix errors (our legitimate interest).
We do not sell your data, show ads, or use your data for tracking across other companies' apps or websites.
Who processes it for us
- Microsoft Azure hosts the RC PowerLab service, database, AI coaching and logs in the EU (Sweden Central).
- Microsoft, Apple and Google handle sign-in when you choose them.
- OpenWeatherMap receives approximate coordinates to return local weather when you use weather features.
- Apple (TestFlight, App Store) and Google (Google Play) distribute the app and may provide us with crash reports and tester feedback you choose to send.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and the data you create for as long as you have an account. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it longer. Technical logs are kept for at most 90 days.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for access to, correction of, export of or deletion of your personal data, and you can object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us at the address below. You can also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY, imy.se).
Children
RC PowerLab is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
If we change this policy we update the date at the top of this page, and tell you in the app when the change is significant.
